defend the dunes
was set up to bring together groups and individuals in order to protect and enhance the remaining coastal sand dunes of the Fylde in north west Lancashire, England.
The dunes, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, are slowly disappearing and are threatened by misuse, neglect and development.

We need your help. These pages show why our Dunes are a rich, diverse biological site and natural barrier to coastal flooding, and explain what we are doing to try and counter the dangers.

Defend the Dunes AGM 2004
